THE SCOTTEVEST NO BAGGAGE CHALLENGE
A New No Baggage Challenge Video Contest, as seen on Fox Business News with Neil Cavuto
Following the success of the first SCOTTEVEST No Baggage Challenge, it became apparent that there are still many more countries, ideas and perspectives to explore. With that in mind, we want to invite you to enter a video contest proposing how you would do a No Baggage Challenge.
The Prize: Win Rolf's outfit (Tropical Jacket, Q-Zip, and your choice of SeV pants) plus a $500 air travel voucher. And since we're looking for someone to take the N.B.C. baton from Rolf and keep running with it, consider your entry a first audition for the next No Baggage Challenge. Watch video from Rolf's journey here.
The Rules
- Record a 5 minute or less video explaining what you would do on your very own No Baggage Challenge. It does not need to be as extensive as Rolf's in days, miles or concept. We've kicked around ideas about doing a one-week wilderness/survival N.B.C., a 50-states-in-25-days N.B.C. and several other ideas, so the sky is the limit.
- Some questions to get you started: Where would you go? How long would it take? What would you bring? What challenges do you foresee? How would you overcome them? What special skills and perspectives do you bring to the table? How would you document this (writing/blogging, video, music, photos)? Is this something that you could realistically take time from work to accomplish? Any of these questions are fair game, but don't feel limited by them. Basically, what would make your No Baggage Challenge informative, enjoyable and compelling to follow?
- Post your video to YouTube, with "SCOTTEVEST No Baggage Challenge Entry" in the tags and description, and a link back to www.NoBaggageChallenge.com. Mark it as a response to this video and after you post it, send an email tonobaggagechallenge@scottevest.com with your full name and a link to the video, along with anything else you think might influence our decision. (By this, we mean something like a short note or travel photos, not a bribe! ;) )
- Because this contest requires both creativity and a filmed performance, we want to give you some time to bring your A game and will not start judging until November 1, 2010. Based on the number and quality of entries, we may take awhile to decide. A winner will be announced before December 1, 2010.
