Delta's Response is Ridiculous....

See exchange below with a reporter:

Delta gave me a bit more… want to respond?

"Our discrepancy with this particular vendor was strictly based on creative standards.  The submitted advertisement implied this product could help passengers avoid baggage fees, particularly for carry-on items.   Delta Air Lines has no fees for any carry-on baggage, therefore this could be potentially misleading to our customers.  SCOTTeVEST is welcome to advertise in Sky Magazine with an ad that meets our creative standards, including accurately representing our policies.”

My response:

My answer is summarized here:

In sum, Delta's answer is not accurate.  Since Delta (and other airlines) limit passengers to one carry-on bag not to exceed a certain size, once you fill up that carry-on bag, you have no other choice other than to put your added "stuff" in another bag, which you then must check for a fee.  SCOTTEVEST enables you to carry those additional items without adding another bag, and thus "avoids extra baggage fees" as advertised.  There is nothing inaccurate or misleading about our ad.  They never raised this issue with us, but even if they did I firmly believe our ad is accurate.  What's next: charging by the number of pockets or weight of the passenger fully dressed?
