Hi Scott,
I wear your Scottevest jackets pretty much every day. They really come in handy at airport security and I see a lot of those. I'm in France on a European and US tour until mid August. Brian, my keyboard tech, has purchased a few of your jackets on his own.
Take care,
Herbie

Scott - how different is the tropical weight travel vest from the pack jacket? Do you think you'll be making both, or are you trying to decide between the two?
we will be doing both
I picked up the latest Herbie Hancock album this weekend and it is GREAT. Highly recommended if you enjoy amazing piano work... plenty of guest vocalists, too.
I am leaving for China soon. When will the new tropical weight travel vest be available for sale?
Thanks,
Steve

Steve, no firm ETA on this yet; earliest will be Jan 09
We started a new thread on this in the SeV Forum here:

Thanks for coming over to the Forum and responding, Scott. It's good to keep this info up in multiple places for everyone to see. Any chance of you taking some pics of this and the pack jacket this week?
Kristin, my designer, has the pack jacket in California, so not this week, but soon, hopefully. Thom, I need to configure blog to send me emails when you anyone comments or adds threads. It used to do that. Perhaps it is in my settings, but if you can look quickly it would ROCK. Thanks
I just added your @scottevest e-mail to the queue to receive notifications... your gmail was already there, so it should be working. Let me know if you get notified of this and/or receive duplicates and I'll fix it.
Hi Scott
I have been a fan of your products for several years. I think I have one of the original vests, along with 2 coats, and shirts and pants! ( I think if you made cowboy boots with pockets, I'd have a pair.)
Being from Texas, I have been looking forward to a lightweight travel/ daily wear vest, and was so glad to hear that you have one in the works. I know the video said that there will be fewer pockets.. do you have an approximate number? Also, if you are getting rid of the felt collar, will we still be able to hid our ear-bud wire. That is my biggest problem with the TEC Shirt. I keep getting tangled up in the cord when I take it off.
Keep up the great work!
Scott
