Nice Aston Martin DBS...

I like option number 2. I agree removing the top front pockets. It really ruins the look of the jacket. Being able to remove the pads will allow you to sell more jackets.

Looks good so far.

I'm a huge geek for your clothing, having bought 2 or 3 jackets, pants, shorts and a travel vest. I'm also an avid motorcyclist, so I have some strong opinions on the motorcycle jacket...
1) Function. It's what you guys are about, and it's what serious motorcyclists want. When I ride, I am usually wearing a jacket by Joe Rocket called the Alter Ego.
http://www.joerocket.com/catalog/index.cfm/113/118/Textile_Jackets/Alter_Ego_2.0_Jacket_
It's a previous version to the one you can see on their site, but still similar. Three seasons of wear with mesh interior for summer and removable textile exterior panels (with zippered venting) and removable armor. Excellent, but like most of its' peers it lacks some essential function - your PAN system. Here's why:
When I ride, I carry a Chatterbox communications device. http://www.chatterboxusa.com/x1.html
It allows me to communicate to other riders with similar devices and to my passenger, in addition to allowing me to listen to music without wearing earbuds which are dangerous, uncomfortable under a helmet and illegal to drive with in most places. The device either sits in the jacket's pocket (though just barely) or attaches to my belt. The downside is wiring. One wire attaches to a lead from the headset in my helmet; another to my passenger's helmet; one to my MP3 player. (You can also attach a phone to it, but if I wanted to talk on the phone, I wouldn't own a motorcycle.) You see why a PAN would be an immeasurable improvement.
2) Some sort of reflective panels or accenting are a must for safety. The more visible we are, the safer we are.
3) I know you don't care for the sleeve pockets, but on a true motorcycle jacket, they are a must. They are by far the simplest pockets to access seated on a bike.
4) You're right about vertical zippers - easier to integrate into the look/lines of the jacket and much easier to access from the riding position, especially with gloves on.

Please feel free to ask if you actually WANT any more of my opinions. :-)

Thank you for the great products!

thanks for your comments; if you want, please do a short video using www.tokbox.com and send or post showing what features you like on your jacket and we can try to copy those. this is fun but not easy
