Scottevest is one of those rare good companies out there that really care about the customers needs. They are experts at using social media to explain the purpose of their clothing. I am addicted to founder Scott Jordan's twitters, facebook and blog. (The guy in the photo is the owner/founder, BTW.) He talks about using the stuff, about new designs, marketing ideas, and his own adventures!
We have been buying their stuff for so long, I remember when his wife got on the phone to help with a problem with a product. They still have great customer service, even though the company has grown quite a bit.
A great example- a year or so ago a shipment of the vests got stolen. Most companies would just tell you that your order was not coming when it was supposed to because it was out of stock, and leave you waiting and waiting. Scott kept customers up to date on when replacements would be coming in, and used blogs and twitter to let us follow every weird twist and turn of the police investigation.
These vests are so fantastic too. It holds everything.
My husband loves the leather jacket that holds a laptop in back from a few years ago. He is a reporter, and wears through everything else out there (he is about ready to retire his second vest after YEARS of constant use and abuse. We even fit our Pomeranian puppy in one of the front pockets last summer.
Did I mention this stuff is AMAZING?
