Who are you making this jacket for? While you have made a good looking textile jacket I think it looks more like a snowmobile jacket. It’s sporty and functional and incorporates your great ideas of pockets; this will work well for the snowmobile crowd. Since it is a textile jacket with nice lines, it is defiantly more for the sport bike user. The road bike user will lean more towards leather, sport bike user wants flashy. They like to standout. They also want the jacket to have all the gadget features that makes it a great riding jacket. The European dual sport rider is also a market, they use a lot of textile systems over leather. Look at the BMW clothing line; I think it is a good place for ideas. It looks to hot, the trick it to get them to ware the jacket spring, summer and fall. Summer will be the hardest part. Having a functional motorcycle jacket that you want to use all the time is the key.
-It will need armor but does not have to come with it -It needs to be a system with pants that zip together as rain suit -It need to be able to be worn loose or cinched down tight -It needs to have air vents to have air flow -no need to have sleeves on the liner it can be a vest. (You’re an expert at that) -needs to be easy to pack off an on the bike
Nice job! keep inventing. DJ (it's -27 this morning - Quantum still going strong)
DJ, thanks so much for your comments. The more i read, the less likely i am to make a "real" motorcycle jacket, vs. an inspired jacket. Keep the comments coming.
