SCOTTEVEST Travel Vest Demo- Blip vs. You Tube?

The first video is edited. I think it is good, but could be better, but let me know what you think. I embedded Blip, first one, and Youtube, second. Let me know which looks better.

Scott, the Blip video LOOKED sharper, but it took a LONG TIME to load. Also, the voice over at the end of the video which reads the magazine excerpts appears to have a different sound quality that the rest of the video. . .somewhat muffled. You might consider rerecording that part. I do let the demo segment where you show all those items coming out of your vest. . .that is and has always been my favorite part since it demostrates the power and functionality of your product. [Only thing better is to dub the video in Japanese like the clip from a few days ago. LOL]. Seriously, high marks on the video!

Thanks for the feedback! Youtube blows generally. I went to check on some videos today and it showed most as "removed" on my computer but everyone else saw them. This whole video thing in terms of how to distribute is really confusing. Great comments on the editing. We actually are going to try to re-edit this a bit and edit a whole bunch of stuff. If you know any KILLER editors, let me know.

Thanks for the comments.

I agree with Andrew that the Blip version looks a little better but I didn't have any lengthy loading issues with it on my 15" MacBook. It could be that the longer load was not due to Blip but rather one or more of the servers between Andrew and Blip. (Typically there will be from eight to ten bounces between you and any given web page.) I do like the slightly larger format of the YouTube version.

I too noticed the slightly muddy quality of the voice over in the last segment. Was it recorded with a different mic or in a different room?

You're off to a great start with these videos and I think they will be a good way for your customers to relate to you.

Since your a fanboy now, Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro is the way to go...steep learning curve but it's Professional grade.

I use Premiere Elements which is fine for home use.

Blip does look better. If you really want top quality videos check out smugmug which offers HD videos..yes I said HD video - see for yourself at Don MacAskill's blog he is the CEO of smugmug and in this post http://snurl.com/2a3yw
he has two videos that showcase their video service (although they are primarily a photo sharing company). I use smugmug and love it ( http://photos.randyandgerri.com ) You do have to pay 159.99 per year for their professional level service which offers five minute HD quality videos or 10 minute DVD quality videos. The catch is the HD level videos cannot be embedding into your website but the DVD quality can. Which isn't bad remember youtube is 320x240 and if you use smugmug's DVD quality it would be twice as good as youtube - 680x480

So many choices so many ways to get your video on the web...it's overwhelming at times.
