Update to SCOTTEVEST HomePage -White vs. Black

We have updated our HomePage, www.scottevest.com. We are planning on updating our entire website, for first time in a very long time, to reflect a much fresher look/feel. This is just a teaser, as we begin to build it out. We are not sure whether to use black or white background for this, so we are doing an A-B test to see which one converts better. Personally, I like the black background but my graphic designers have suggested that white is better. Let me know what you think? You will see white or black randomly based upon your IP address. Thanks for checking and sorry about the lack of posts in awhile.

BTW, we will be incorporating LOTS of video soon.

bounce! -New Business Book quotes SeV and Scott Jordan

A new book title "bounce!" by noted business author Barry J. Moltz refers to my experience in starting SCOTTEVEST/SeV as an example of how to look at failures in a different way. The actual paragraph is as follows:

"Learning to call failure something neutral, like decision point, outcome, or result helps develop bounce. Scott Jordan, founder of Scottevest, also believes that the words we use are important. "Without some failures, you cannot have success. Every successful venture involves failures. Given that, I prefer not to use the term failure. It is an ugly and definitive word and it implies an ending point. Rather I use the term disappointment; it is not as scary or definitive."

It is an honor to be referenced in this manner. I just started the book, and it is a page turner. Not something you can say about most business books. Learn more here: http://barrymoltz.com/books
